Minding the Badge™ specializes in preemptive solution-oriented training that focuses less on the problems and more on the solutions, while leveraging a strategy of pre-trauma conditioning that reduces the impact of future mental health conflicts through the discipline of Neuroplasticity. This influence is a reoccurring theme with Minding the Badge™ training and at our Minding the Marriage™ retreats, and is a key to the success we achieve in our results.

2024 Minding the Badge™ Courses

Minding the Badge™ courses are currently offered through private training and through training we host throughout the year at our training location in Fort Worth, Texas. Select courses offer Instructor Certification, allowing you to bring the training to your own staff, on your own time, with much less expense. Although we offer a library of courses, our primary focus comes down to Preemptive Resiliency, Peer Support, and Suicide Outreach.

Coming in 2025

We are currently working on new courses that include active shooter curriculum for educators that provides both preemptive and post-recovery resiliency training. We are also developing a new curriculum specifically addressing pre-trauma and post-trauma for those exposed to crimes and injury to children (public safety, child protective services, medical, human trafficking, etc.).

Also under current production is a revolutionary online way for anyone in public safety to get immediate help for specific challenges, while remaining anonymous and accessing the service without cost. This project has been in development since 2020 and we are excited to be getting closer to launching what we believe will be a direct and lasting solution to the over 80% of first responders who will not see a professional therapist for help, as well as the isolated 60% who will not reach out to anyone, including a peer or spouse. We must provide better solutions that do not require reaching out to anyone and we are passionate about offering our version of such a solution.
